The reception staff were warm, polite, and helpful, and the location is fantastic for St Liseaux, which is lovely, and for exploring the Pyrenees. Our room was poorly insulated, so we heard everything from next door, including coughing, sneezing, and the TV. There was no kettle or way to make a hot drink in the evening. We were lucky to get the top terrace, which gave us a bit more space, but the smoke and smell from the BBQ restaurant next door were a bit much.

They have a bike store, a good room, a swimming pool, and packed lunches are available. The restaurant is right next door. The staff gave us an excellent welcome, and I'd highly recommend the hotel.

The restaurant is a must, especially for the pork, which was better than any I've had anywhere. This was our honeymoon spot, full of charm and character, with a real sense of history. Staying here felt like stepping back in time.

The cheese platter is a must, and don't miss the homemade Kir or the foie gras. Lunch is remarkably cheap, about 12-15 for a menu with wine, and dinner is reasonably priced too. This is farmhouse cooking done right: hearty, simple food that's superbly prepared, and good wine. The converted barn feels like a castle's big hall, with chandeliers and hams hanging from the ceiling. The hotel has its own special character, and we liked it. I'd give the hotel four stars, but with the restaurant included it earns a clear five.
