Château Juvenal

Anne-Marie welcomed us with a drink, and Bernard offered to show us the wine cellar and share a tasting if asked. They were both kind and ready to help whenever we needed anything. Chateau Juvenale and its park are beautiful. You can cook in the summer kitchen beneath the old trees, or choose from the many good restaurants nearby. A special place that’s well worth the trip.

The wine tour and tasting with Bernard was a highlight. He knows his craft and clearly loves it. We also ended up having an impromptu dinner with other guests, which was great fun. We liked Chateau Juvenal so much that we cancelled some plans to stay longer. It’s well placed for exploring Provence’s villages, historic sites, and wineries, either by bike or a short drive. The owners, Bernard and Anne-Marie, made us feel at home from the start and were always there to help. Anne-Marie even drove us to a nearby city so we could pick up e-bikes. The chateau and its surroundings were beautiful, and our room had stylish furniture, a comfortable bed, and details that suited its charm. My husband and I had an amazing stay and can’t wait to return.

A lovely base for discovering Provence, and we enjoyed every part of the chateau. The family who owns it, including their dog, are adorable, and so is the wine cellar. We’ll be back!

This was my third visit, and I’d happily come again. The chateau has a mix of gites and chambres d'hotes inside its walls, with extensive grounds and a network of walking paths. There’s a vineyard and excellent wine of its own, especially La Terre du Petit Homme, plus a swimming pool. It sits between Les Dentelles and Mont Ventoux, with easy access to Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas, and picturesque villages such as Seguret.
