We spent three nights at this traditional little hotel while visiting the area, and I was with my elderly father. The price was very attractive and the hotel was very clean. Most rooms don’t have a toilet inside, as you’d expect in a traditional hotel, but a few with toilets are available at a higher price. I booked one of those because of my father’s age. There’s a small restaurant on site, though we didn’t get a chance to try it. The village location is great, with pretty much everything within walking distance. During our stay, none of the employees spoke English.

The lunch menu du jour at Normandie Hotel, Saint James is great value at 13€. Service was friendly and very attentive. Dogs are allowed in the outside area. I’ll definitely go back.

The welcome was excellent, the staff attentive, and our room very clean. Breakfast was generous, too. Its location close to amenities and tourist sites makes it a great base for exploring the region, and we’d stay again. Thanks for a wonderful visit, and please keep this authentic style!

After planning a stay in the Bay of Saint-Michel for a long time, we never got to enjoy this hotel. The manager cancelled our reservation without explanation, just three weeks before we were due to stay. Maybe larger, more profitable groups are given priority. We sent a message asking why, but the establishment didn’t even reply. One good thing came of it: we discovered the lovely town of Dol-de-Bretagne and its charming, welcoming Hôtel de Bretagne.
