After a long trip, being able to get a freshly cooked evening meal right there was just what we needed. Eric and Christiane were lovely hosts. Our room had plenty of space and everything we needed, plus a terrace, and the auberge sits in a valley with vines and mountains all around. It’s great for walking the dog, and the village is about a 10-minute walk away, with a lovely French bar that even stays open until 11 pm on Friday. Places like this old-style auberge are rare now, so support them before all that’s left is chain hotels.

We were sorry we couldn’t stay longer after finishing our walk on the "Chemin de St Guilhem". The auberge was a lovely surprise, with really friendly service, delicious food, and plenty of homemade treats. The valley is magnificent, with its river, trails, little medieval villages, castles, churches, and nature everywhere. It’s well worth a detour.

The hosts were perfect, and we had a wonderful time as a group of hikers. Our rooms were large and practical, and the meals were very good. We’d love to come back.
