The breakfast was delicious, and the location was excellent. Our room was comfortable, with plenty of closet space, and the hotel felt cozy with tasteful decor. The staff were charming, patient and capable. Perfect, what more could you want?

Saint Jean de Luz is a beautiful, safe and peaceful town in the French Basque country, facing the Atlantic with the Pyrenees behind it. San Sebastian in Spain is just 40 minutes away by bus. At the hotel, places to visit, restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. The owners and staff make you feel at home as soon as you arrive, and the rooms are big, quiet and comfortable. There’s a modern bathroom with amenities, plus a small fridge and espresso machine in the room. I especially loved the cozy living room. Breakfast is served in a lovely private terrace area off the breakfast room during warmer months. The buffet is excellent, with plenty to choose from: yogurt, cold cuts, muesli, juice, fresh baguette, croissants, homemade cake, crepes and more. I highly recommend the hotel and Saint Jean de Luz.

The hotel is near the beach but far enough away that you avoid the noise. There’s no restaurant, though they serve a generous continental breakfast in your room or the breakfast room. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the rooms were nice, and the whole place was in very good condition. It’s in an excellent location.
