Camping La Prairie

The ACSI discount made this a very good deal in the off season: 72 euros for everything. We stayed four nights in September and would happily return. There’s a great beach a short walk through the dunes and forest, and dogs are allowed there, which worked well for our little dog. The site itself is good, with a great pool and facilities.

We found the campsite in the book while looking for somewhere still open at the end of September, and were glad our ACSI card was accepted. We stayed two nights on the way to the ferry. The pool was lovely, and the reception staff were pleasant. We’ll pass the details on to our friends.

The pitch had hedges on three sides and plenty of room. The pegs for our awning went in easily. It’s a good medium sized campsite, and the new little pool is great.

It was quiet when we visited in September, but we still had to pay for our dogs. There weren’t any facilities for them, not even a place to walk them, so it felt like a rip off.
