Mobile Home With Plancha & Pool Access

The price was superb, especially in the height of summer, and there's plenty to do nearby, including beaches. The staff were welcoming and really friendly. We hired a six-bed cottage and were impressed by how spacious it was and what it had in it. The sheltered outdoor area added useful living space, and having a portable vacuum, mop, and dustpan and brush made it easy to keep clean. Siblu's facilities were very good, if not outstanding, and we could also use the pool and other facilities at the campsite opposite. Highly recommended!

The pool was good, and the kids had a basic play area. Our rooms were good quality and had the equipment we needed for cooking and barbecuing. Siblu villages are generally good, but le bois Masson didn't measure up to the other ones we'd stayed at. The place could feel much livelier with more evening shows and daytime activities. The bar and restaurant were open only for short periods and had a very poor selection. We were so bored all week that we had to go elsewhere for things to do. The greenery around the site could use some tidying up too. We paid a lot for a week in August and didn't feel it was worth the money or time.

They told us at the caravan door that there'd be no key without a €780 deposit. We'd booked Chez Sophie au Camping Le Bois Masson for 6 nights. Apparently the deposit was in the terms and conditions, but at 62, I'd never paid one for a holiday rental before and hadn't thought to check. I felt completely taken advantage of, and that worry hung over the whole trip. I kept thinking money could be taken for no reason, with nothing I could do about it. On top of that, using any facilities costs extra: €19 a day for the pool, club, or anything else. For six nights they offered us a “pass” for €180. In all my years of travelling, I've never had to pay extra just to use an on-site swimming pool.

The pool was good, but the shop and bar prices were very high. Check-in was ridiculous: we waited nearly 8 hours from arrival to getting our keys, and everyone was complaining. It seemed very poorly planned by the staff. Then we were put in a row of five opposite the boules area. It was busy there from morning till night, so sitting out front wasn't an option. There was no quiet at all. We won't be back.
