Breakfast was decent, the staff were nice, and the WiFi worked normally. The room and building were another story: the beds were uncomfortable, it smelled, the shower was dirty, and the TV was complicated to use. The phone didn’t work and had no manual. Some doors didn’t lock properly, and the place seemed poorly maintained, with chipped wood on the railing. Light switches were awkwardly placed, and the online photos were misleading.

It’s close to the main road, so it can do for a sleepover if the price is lower. We’d booked two rooms while on the road, but when we arrived we’d been moved to another location. For what we paid, the rooms weren’t up to much: dirty towels, hard uncomfortable beds, and ants. The place needs maintenance, and cleaners came into our room twice early in the morning while we were sleeping.

The main course was fresh, and the restaurant was acceptable. There wasn’t much choice at the salad buffet, and the pastries seemed to have been sitting out too long. They were a bit chewy instead of crisp. The decor’s nothing special, though it’s tucked into a business park by a motorway exit, so I wasn’t expecting much.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooms aren’t cosy, with interiors that look like old American motels, and the food was poor and didn’t taste good. The WiFi was weak and laggy. During one night, my colleagues were robbed twice, once at supper and again at breakfast. Afterwards, we found a black key card in a lock. Staff used black cards. Better choose another hotel.
