Auch is worth stopping by for its restaurants and shops. The guesthouse itself sits somewhere lovely and quiet, with comfortable rooms and very good breakfast and dinner made with fresh regional ingredients. Some things are homemade too, including a delicious rillette. The château can be hard to find, but the trip is well worth it. You'll need to speak French.

Carol made us lovely breakfasts with quality ingredients, a great way to start each day. The place is spacious and really nice, and the wood, stone, and snowy tones make the rooms feel warm and cozy. We had a magnificent stay.
