Le Conty

We had a great experience with the team at le Conty, from picking up the bikes to bringing them back. We just showed up, and were riding within 15 minutes. No booking needed, and the price covered everything, including locks, helmets if you wanted them, a puncture kit, and baskets. All four of us had our bikes adjusted for our height, and the staff gave us useful advice about routes nearby. We followed their suggestion to ride around Lake Annecy anti clockwise. There were fewer people going that way, and it avoided a long climb that would have been difficult for some in our group. There was one steep hill, which we pushed our bikes up. The lake circuit is beautiful, with lots of places to stop and take photos. They were flexible about the return time in case we wanted to keep the bikes longer. Bringing them back was just as easy and friendly as collecting them. I can’t fault the service and would highly recommend them to anyone hiring bikes.

The team were friendly, and there was no appointment or booking needed. They were the cheapest option we found nearby. If you want to see more of Lake Annecy by bike, it’s a good place to set off from. There’s a hill halfway round, so an e-bike might be worth considering, though they have plenty of choices. The cycle route has lovely lake views and access to swimming and picnic spots, making it a nice option for a half-day family outing.

The e-bikes were in excellent condition, with long-lasting batteries, and came with a lock and basket. We rented two from Le Conty on Monday and got a helpful tip to ride around the lake counterclockwise. That route has just one steep climb, and since it’s on a bike path it’s much nicer than riding the same steep road in the other direction alongside cars. We stopped for coffee at Le Bon Wagon in Duingt, then had lunch by the water at Le Petit Gourmet in Menthon-Saint-Bernard. Both were great. If you’re in Saint-Jorioz, I’d definitely rent your bike here.

We rented two touring bikes for the day and had a great experience. They took time to get the fit right, and helmets, locks, baskets, and a puncture repair kit were included. The price was good value, and there was lots of parking on site. I’d happily recommend them.
