La Rose du Sud

From your terrace you can sit with whatever you like and cook with your own supplies, which makes it tempting to wonder why you'd leave at all. The pool and surroundings near the sea and local shops are lovely, and there's fresh baguette every day. The super friendly French-speaking owners, Stephane and Laurie, serve a well-prepared French breakfast and are good company if you want to brush up on your French. It's an easy, wonderful base for exploring the island, from lava, flowers, waterfalls, waves, beaches, mountains, and lush vegetation to fine supermarkets and local restaurants. You can be active or just relax. A great place if you're looking for paradise.

A welcoming family-run spot, with a pool and hot tub, and really amazing food.

Laurie was so attentive and caring, and she and her husband were both lovely and helpful. The chalet was private, very clean, and kept in perfect condition. We ate really well, and breakfast was generous and such a treat. The welcome cocktail was a lovely touch too. La Rose du Sud was peaceful and relaxing, and we felt at home right away. The pool was superb, and the jacuzzi was incredible, such a relaxing experience. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish, highly recommend it, and will definitely return! Laurie and Stéphane know how to make guests feel welcome, and they’re clearly experienced at it. The lush green setting is a peaceful little haven, with bungalows and lodges, a big pool ringed by coconut palms, and a natural stone jacuzzi. It all makes for a memorable stay. Breakfast and dinner are well worth trying there, especially the delicious chocolate roulade. Go without hesitation, you won’t be disappointed. Well done, keep it up!
