It was quiet when we arrived around 19.30, but by 20.30 the place was packed. We’d driven past during a day visit and decided to come back for supper. The room felt very cosy, and the staff were happy to explain the blackboard menu in detail, a nice touch instead of a paper menu. There was no overpowering music, just gentle conversation, and customers greeted us politely with “good evening” as they came in. I loved it.
We ate here on two nights and loved the food and service. We were sorry to leave the area without a chance to try more of their excellent dishes.

The desserts are fantastic, especially the profiteroles: crisp choux pastry, ice cream that isn’t too sweet, and hot chocolate poured just right. The cuisine is thoughtfully prepared with simple seasonal ingredients. Attentive service and a great wine list too 😁.
