We spent one night in the cottage, and it was a real disappointment. At €250 a night, it felt clearly overpriced for what we got. The decor also took away all the house's charm, and we won't be repeating the experience. The shower in the bedroom was in poor shape: the rain shower head didn't work, and a piece was missing from the drain. There was no hot water on the first night. When I raised it, the owner curtly told me to check that I was using the mixer tap correctly, saying staff had checked and the water was 50°C. The next day, somehow, there was hot water. The pillow was extremely flimsy, with no support at all, and you could put a finger through it. When my wife booked, they only asked whether we planned to use the jacuzzi. Nobody mentioned the €75 extra charge until we arrived after a long drive. The explanation was that the water gets changed for each guest. I spent only five minutes in it, down in the house's basement, which felt very creepy. Breakfast was very basic for its price of €12.50: acidic industrial orange juice, a baguette, and a few croissants and chocolate croissants. After the owner's response questioned my good faith, I changed my rating to one star. I'm not frustrated, just sharing a disappointing stay.

We were passing through Tonnerre and had a wonderfully peaceful night in this imposing 1960s mansion. It has been fully renovated with taste and luxury, and the rooms have different themes. The breakfast was very appetizing, too. Don't miss the place if you're staying in Tonnerre.

A great base for exploring Burgundy and the nearby castles, in an ideal location. The house is magnificent, with beautiful, unusual rooms themed around people like Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, and James Dean. We stayed in the spacious two-bedroom apartment, which was beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and practical. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and glad to share good advice about the area and our stay.

The garden is a lovely place to unwind, and a quiet moment for two in the private jacuzzi was a real treat. Inside, the house has chic decor, and the themed rooms are comfortable and carefully decorated down to the smallest detail. The hosts were warm and attentive, and breakfast was generous and high quality. A fantastic stay that makes you want to return, especially for a romantic getaway.
