La Ferme du Miouat

The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished, and Bibi cooks wonderfully with lovely local ingredients. Her renovated farmhouse is set in beautiful surroundings, with a distinctly French atmosphere and a subtle touch from the roughly 25 years she spent in the UK. She is a superb hostess and has made La Ferme feel like a really special find. We'll certainly recommend it.

We stayed in Les Pins, one of the lovely en-suite rooms at La Ferme du Miouat, and had a delightful visit. Bibi welcomed us so generously. Breakfast had loads to choose from, including fresh juice, good coffee, homemade cake and her own jams and jellies. The apple and sage jam is my favourite. There was a cooked breakfast available too, and the roaring log fire made everything feel even more charming. We'll be back. Thank you, Bibi!

Bibi can arrange dinner if you ask ahead, and ours was excellent, a nice change from eating at the local restaurants. She was also quick to help organise horse riding and surfing lessons nearby at Contis plage, so there was plenty to do with the children. The beach is huge and clearly a big reason people come to this region. We stayed with our daughters and had a wonderful time. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the farmhouse had a quirky, chic feel. Bibi makes excellent cakes each day for her memorable breakfast, and the bread from the local award-winning bakery deserves a mention too. We'll definitely return next year.

I left my laptop behind, and Bibi arranged to have it sent back to London, which was a real lifesaver. She's the kind of host who goes the extra mile. We spent a delightful couple of days at la Ferme du Miouat with her and the ever charming Truffle the dog. The breakfast spread was one of the best I've had, and I've had a few! The farm's style mixes Scottish hunting lodge touches with the beach feel of nearby Contis Plage. Our room was quiet and very comfortable, just right for a short December stay. We're already keen to return and will recommend it to all our friends.
