Camping Le Mas Sud Ardèche

There’s a lot of nature around the place, and we really enjoyed our stay. The service was very good and everyone was friendly. Getting there was a little hard, though. Drivers don’t pay much attention to bicycles, which made the ride feel a bit scary.

The welcome and atmosphere were the best part, with staff making a real effort to keep everyone happy and looked after. It may not be as polished as some campsites, but it’s a smashing little spot. We stayed four nights in our motorhome and ended up staying longer than planned, which says a lot. Toilets and showers were spotless both day and night. The river beach is a five-minute walk, and we appreciated being able to use the canoes for free.

The river setting is idyllic, with large pitches and a clean, well cared-for site. We came in our motorhome with three children, a baby and our dog, and the relaxed atmosphere made it such an enjoyable holiday that our planned few days turned into almost three weeks. The staff are so kind and make you feel like family, and it seems like everyone gets to know each other. We loved the free canoes for exploring the river, and the owner’s free guided outings, including nature trails and canyon visits. He knows a lot about what he shows you. The food was lovely, with breakfast, lunch and dinner available. You can order baguettes and pastries the night before and pick them up in the morning. There were often themed evenings like karaoke and live music. The pool area is well set up too, with a children’s pool, slides and a separate deeper pool. Thanks, Armand, Adrien and the whole team for a fantastic stay. I’ll definitely come back and would absolutely recommend it.

My favorite campsite so far. The host and employees were extremely friendly, the accommodation was sufficient, and the price was good. Being close to the river helped keep things from getting too hot at night, and the communal evening activities were fun. I’d recommend it.
