The setting is peaceful, with pretty rolling hills around the property, and the host is friendly and speaks English. We got good value for money, plus free parking on site. Getting there takes a little care: the easiest way is the road local residents use beside the train tunnel, then up for a few hundred meters. Our room had its own sink, while the shared bathroom was along the corridor. The decor felt very French and stylish. At breakfast, each room had its own selection of breads, and you could ask for yoghurt, jam, and eggs.

The breakfast produce was great, and the cheese board was amazing. Such a pretty spot, with all the simple pleasures and a great host.
