La Désirade

Breakfast was superb, with plenty of fresh homemade choices for everyone. The buffet stayed clean and well stocked even when we arrived late, and the breakfast ladies were so friendly and attentive. The whole team at the Hotel La Désirade deserves credit for their kindness and professionalism. We came for a weekend on the island and fell for our room straight away. It was spacious and nicely decorated, with a fantastic mattress that made for a great night's sleep away from home. The bathroom was roomy too, with a bath and shower combination. The setting is beautiful, and the heated pool was very well maintained. Everyone we spoke to, from the staff to the owners, was smiling, helpful, and attentive. We had a wonderful stay, and would feel confident booking here again. Yann and Maryna from Pluvigner 🙏

The included breakfast was generous and delicious, and our hosts even brought us fresh eggs from their hens after we mentioned we liked eggs. Such a thoughtful gesture. We arrived late because of an unforeseen circumstance, and our hosts kindly offered on their own to reschedule our stay so we could enjoy it properly. The whole place felt like a peaceful haven, with a large, quiet garden surrounded by greenery. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and we felt at home right away. We'd happily return if we're in the area again, and wholeheartedly recommend this bed and breakfast. Thank you for everything!

Breakfast was plentiful and excellent, and we really enjoyed it. The room was clean and practical, and the calm setting made for a relaxing stay. Lovely place with excellent service, highly recommended for a visit to Charente-Maritime.

The whole team looked after us so attentively during our stay. We felt warmly welcomed from the start, and had a perfect time. Thanks for everything! Marie
