The staff came across as unprofessional, and the place felt unpleasant from the sign on the back of the door onward. Cleanliness could be much better, and there's no bathroom window. For the price, it wasn't worth it.

This stay went terribly. I was on a business trip from March 10 to 12, 2019, and arrived at 11 p.m. After I called, the manager refused to open the door because reception closed at 8 p.m., even though I'd clearly said when booking that I would arrive between 11 p.m. and midnight. I came back at 5 p.m. the next day hoping to at least get one night, but the manager told me the room had been reserved. So they accepted my booking knowing they couldn't host me on Sunday, March 10, 2019, then reserved the room for someone else before reception closed the next day, while charging me for the full stay. There was no effort to find a compromise or help at all. That's a pretty grim way for a hotel manager to treat someone.

Finding the place can be a little tricky, but once you're there the welcome is warm and attentive. The room was comfortable and fairly spacious, and the food was good, tasty, and nicely presented if you want to eat there. It isn't really a holiday spot, but it's a much nicer stopover than a chain hotel.

The location, right in the heart of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, is a real plus, and the welcome was lovely. The owner greeted us with a smile despite our arriving around 9 pm. It's in a typical downtown building, like many along the French Riviera, but has undeniable charm and distinctive decor. One note, the address provided points to the back of the hotel. The rooms were clean. The bed was a bit basic comfort-wise, but fine for a night, and the soundproofing could also be better. Breakfast was very good, with a French touch and excellent pastries, bread, and jams. I recommend it.
