La Sapinière

The restaurant was solid, an 8/10, while everything else exceeded expectations. The staff were welcoming, and our rooms were clean, comfortable, and inviting. The beds were very comfortable, and the heater kept the room perfectly warm. The location is unbeatable, right among the Omaha Beach historic sites, with the beach just steps away. There's also a scenic ~18-minute walk to the Normandy American Cemetery. We couldn't have been happier with our overnight stay and will definitely come back. All the staff were wonderful!

Jessey served us on our Trafalgar Tours "Experience of France Tour" stop to see highlights of the DDay Landings and Invasion. The place was crowded, but our food came out quickly after we ordered. Most of us got fish and chips, and a couple of people had salads. The food was incredible. The fish was amazing, and the fries were just like back in the States. If I find myself in Normandie again, I'll stop here.

The hotel itself is fantastic. I loved the rooms and the villa vibes, and the location is fantastic too. I'd stay here again, but I wouldn't eat here. The restaurant is terrible, so avoid it at all cost. If you're French, you might like the menu. If you're from somewhere else, it's really less than desirable. Also, the kitchen will make ZERO accommodations for preferences, substitutions, or any other changes. The mussels were the worst choice on the menu, smaller than small, and most didn't open during cooking. Then it becomes your problem, not theirs!

Lunch was tasty, and everyone enjoyed it. The menu had great options and featured lots of local ingredients. Staff were kind and helpful about my food allergy, and the lovely covered seating area made the meal really relaxing. Highly recommend!
