Camping de l'Abbatiale

The toilets and showers were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location. Just remember you’ll need an adaptor for the electric hook-up.

There’s a worn, neglected feel to the site, and the sanitary facilities could have been better. It also has more permanent pitches than touring pitches. Vehicles weren’t restricted, so we could hear them coming back late at night, even after midnight.

We’ll keep coming back for our usual two-night stop with the caravan on the way south, as long as we’re still fit to travel abroad. The large pitches and friendly welcome make it a lovely place to stay. They send us the entry code in advance because we arrive late. The only thing I’d change is making the water in the lovely new block a little hotter. The site and location are otherwise perfect.

The main draw for us was being just 25 minutes from parc asterix for our son’s birthday. We liked the layout, and the welcome was friendly. It was scorching when we arrived, and they were happy to move us to a shaded pitch. There’s a small kids’ park, plus basic but working unisex toilets and showers, bins, water and waste disposal.
