Villa Mascarine

Those homemade breakfasts were generous, and the bedding was very comfortable. The room itself is simple, but the garden is lush, with a gorgeous pool and spa. We loved the magnificent view, and Isabelle and Cyrille were charming and so helpful. We'll be back!

We really enjoyed the jacuzzi under the stars. The pool, room, and view were all excellent, and the welcome was attentive while still discreet. At 400 meters above sea level it can feel a little cooler in winter than on the coast, but it's nowhere near cold.

The room was outdated and extremely uncomfortable, with only the bare minimum, especially for such a high price. Breakfast was barely there: half a baguette reheated with jam, a frozen croissant, and basic juice. We also had almost no Wi-Fi, which made the owners' offer to reduce the signal seem amusing. The location was poor, with a winding 20-minute drive to the beach and everything else far away. We arrived a little early and couldn't use the pool; apparently, if you're not there at exactly 4 pm, you can forget it. The welcome was unpleasant, and there were no tips on things to do. This guesthouse was rock bottom for us. I can't understand the positive reviews, and we won't return. Avoid it.

The ocean view from the terrace and living room was breathtaking, and everything was clean. The owners were kind and discreet throughout our 7-day stay, and their suggestions for visits were spot on. The only small drawback was the Wi-Fi, which sometimes didn't work properly during its 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. availability. It's not a major issue, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
