Le Clos Louisiane

We left our caravan at a lovely site in Le Pieux and spent two nights at Le Clos Louisiane in June, our first time touring France by caravan. We were there to see the war graves in Bayeux, and couldn’t have found a nicer place to stay. Parking felt very safe and was excellent. Bayeux town was also an easy walk for dinner and wine, about 20 to 30 minutes, so we didn’t need the car. Nellie and Christophe were lovely and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The bedrooms were very clean, and fresh bottled water was brought to our room each day. After sightseeing, it was nice to have our own tea and coffee facilities. Thank you for a lovely stay, merci beaucoup.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed, and breakfast was excellent. The hosts really know the area and were happy to suggest outings and restaurants. They also took time to connect with each guest and made us feel very welcome. We especially enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. If we could give more stars, it would be 10/5.

This was a great base for visiting the sights connected with the Allied landings, especially the American Joint Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer. We spent two nights here while touring France. The hosts were friendly and attentive, and communication before arrival was excellent. We got a very warm welcome. Our room was small but well kept, with a separate bathroom and shower. The toilet is shared with another couple when it’s occupied.

The guesthouse is around a 20-minute walk from Bayeux, which made exploring town really convenient. Our room was spacious and had a private bathroom. Breakfasts were generous, with homemade products. The hosts gave us a very warm welcome and were incredibly kind. They also shared excellent tips about local attractions and restaurants.
