Best Western Hotel Alexandra

We’ve stayed in St Malo four times, and this was the best hotel so far. We spent two nights there for my husband’s birthday, and the very kind women at reception took all our wishes into account. They also arranged champagne for us, served beautifully. Our room was cozy, modern and nicely decorated, with an open balcony and gorgeous views. The bathroom was brand new, very clean and comfortable. We loved the location by the sea, where you can hear the waves at night, and it’s about a 15-minute walk to the old city. We’ll be back and highly recommend it.

Clean, well kept and easy to park at, with great service and lovely sea views and sunsets. It’s a bit of a walk to the old town if you’re not driving, though we biked. This place is underrated and deserves more recognition.

We came from Scotland. I travel a lot, and I’d say everything was very good. The room was perfect, the food great and the staff amazing. Thank you, see you in a few months.

The room was tiny and packed with old furniture, and the service was terrible, really no service at all. My boyfriend and I booked a room, but don’t expect four-star comfort. The bed wasn’t comfortable either. Don’t bother trying to get a proper coffee, they don’t even seem to know what one is. At breakfast they put out unwashed grapes that were almost rotten, then charged 36 euros for those awful plates. The poor service alone could spoil your holiday. Find somewhere else that’s cheaper and better. This isn’t a four-star stay. To management: I hope the pictures help you see what needs improving, and that you finally apologize instead of inspecting the name.
