The location and surroundings were very pleasant, which makes this a shame. The apartment itself was unsanitary, with a persistent damp smell, old bedding, cobwebs and dust everywhere. The damp absorber was very noisy and needed emptying every six hours. One of the rusty electric hobs didn’t work. We’d planned to stay five nights but left after the first. Even after we explained why, the owner refused to refund the remaining four nights and acted in bad faith. Avoid.

We lasted one night before leaving that so-called pirate's lair. The apartment is close to unsanitary: the sheets smelled damp and moldy, the mattress was very damp, and the shower was clogged. To clear the shower water, you had to flush the toilet. When it rained, a sewer smell came up, and there were insects under the sink and bed. The owner was friendly but dishonest. We’re going to file an appeal with the Saint-Malo town hall because the health risk is very real. Avoid this place.

The studio looks like it could be lovely, but the musty smell was unbearable. The furniture, sheets, blankets, towels and dishes all seemed saturated with it. There’s no ventilation in either the kitchenette or the bathroom. The only options are the single window overlooking the rooftops or the door, and that isn’t enough.

The photo is flashy but fake. The apartment was very dirty and damp. The sea is 900m away, and what’s 50m away is more like a swamp. I’ve travelled for years and never seen a scam like this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
