The owners were friendly and courteous, and breakfast on the patio was a lovely touch. It was varied, homemade, and authentic. This renovated villa is set in the countryside, 13 km from Aix-en-Provence, with typical Provençal decor. The interior is spacious and charming, with a large bathroom that has both a bath and shower. There are mosquito nets and a TV, making it a good choice if you're after a quiet retreat. There is no bidet, as with all properties in France. The rustic outdoor area is still being developed.

We left La Bastide de l'Aube with very fond memories after four nights there. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and cozy, and breakfast was enjoyable. The host welcomed us warmly. The guesthouse is surrounded by lush greenery, close to Aix-en-Provence and all the amenities. We'd recommend it as a base for exploring beautiful Provence.

Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the pool and flower garden was a highlight, with generous servings and a different homemade pastry each day. Catherine welcomed us warmly and was attentive and helpful. We had a lovely family stay in this quiet, relaxing setting. The room was spacious and very clean, and the gîte is conveniently located 10-15 minutes from Aix city center. Excellent value for money.

A genuinely Provençal place, and a good fit if you want to get away from the bustle. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and both a shower and tub. The hostess was very friendly and helpful, and made us an excellent breakfast with homemade pastries.
