Hôtel Pashmina

The way the Pashmina team looks after you starts before you even arrive. They sort out your wishes ahead of time, then greet you warmly at check-in. The rooms are beautiful and cozy, the spa team pampers you, and breakfast is a pleasure, with staff seeming to anticipate what you want. In the evening, you can have dinner at the hotel or choose from the many excellent places nearby, and while you’re out, they quietly prepare your room for the night. We’ve been coming for years, and a week at Hotel Pashmina Le Refuge is easily our family’s favorite holiday. Our two boys are now grown up and even bring their girlfriends. We left yesterday incredibly happy and are already looking forward to another visit. Thanks to the whole Pashmina team for such generous, heartfelt hospitality. Ski-in, ski-out access to Les 3 Vallées, Europe’s (and the world’s) largest interconnected ski resort, makes everything simple. After skiing, you can return at tea time, relax at the spa, and keep enjoying the pampering. They deserve 6 ⭐️.

The most memorable part of our stay was the genuine hospitality. A special thank you to our shuttle driver, Brian. I’ve experienced hospitality from staff in many parts of the world, but Brian is truly world-class. His kindness, professionalism, and upbeat energy left a lasting impression, and he’s a real asset to the hotel. Service from everyone was excellent, warm, and professional, with staff always ready to help. The rooms were spotless and exceptionally well maintained. Breakfast was another highlight, with a great selection and a welcoming feel that made the mornings special.

We enjoyed excellent meals at Base Camp restaurant and the michelline starred restaurant, and all the staff provided great service. The wellness area could be a little bigger. One sauna doesn’t feel like enough for such a large hotel. Still, we’d recommend it. 😊👍

We spent much of one day in the spa when avalanche risk closed the slopes. It was easy to move from the saunas to the different showers, steam room, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and perhaps a massage. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, and the half-board dinner was well worth it. The food was excellent. They’ll also drive you in their van to anywhere in town and bring you back. The ski lockers are by a trail, so you get genuine ski-in, ski-out access. They have ventilation that dries your boots and gloves overnight. Our junior suite was spacious and lovely, and the whole hotel is beautifully appointed. Every person we dealt with, from reception and concierge to bell staff and housekeeping, worked hard to make us comfortable. Housekeeping was especially thorough and thoughtful. This was one of the best hotel stays we’ve had, perhaps the best. If we return to Val Thorens, we’ll definitely stay here again.
