Camping de la Chapelette

We came back to the campsite after eight years, for our second visit. The atmosphere is great, and the hosts are friendly. There's a small bar and restaurant where you can get a snack or pizza, and the swimming pool is nice too. We were attacked by a million mosquitoes, though, so be mindful if you choose a spot under the trees and bushes.

The campsite's website promises a fun, relaxing family holiday, but the owner didn't seem to care about guests and didn't even try to speak English. A party was planned during our stay, and a notice about it was posted at the entrance in French. The campsite's Facebook page mentioned a party, but not on that exact date. We ended up being yelled at and told we had no right to be angry because they can hold parties on their property for as long as they want. The owner's attitude was unbelievable. On the first night, I thought the motorway was too close and loud, but I was terribly wrong. Don't visit, and read the other comments.

There's shade for camping, but the owners are unfriendly and don't want to understand or speak English. It was 34 degrees, and the shower water was only very hot, with no cold water at all. We simply couldn't shower, even in the evening. We don't recommend this campsite.

Stay away! The management is terrible, especially the woman. She shouts at guests, picks on every little move, and keeps driving around in an electric vehicle to check what people are doing. The place is surrounded by a motorway and train track. There are so many cigales in the trees making a horrible noise that it's hard to talk to each other normally.
