We loved the garden, especially for breakfast or a drink from the honesty bar. Our room, Room 7, looked out over it and was delightful. It’s also only a short walk to the busy harbour, with its small boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. The staff really focused on making us comfortable, and this felt like a wonderfully peaceful spot on Île de Ré. We can’t wait to come back for those island views.

We had a huge room, a comfortable bed, and a great shower, and really didn’t want to leave. The whole hotel felt so relaxing, and we couldn’t find anything to fault. The staff made the stay even better. They were warm and made us feel at home, arranged bike hire, restaurant bookings and massages, and brought our car to the front door whenever we needed it. Impeccable service.

The rooms feel almost like home, helped by the lack of the usual hotel leaflets and advertising. Inside, the place is well appointed but relaxed, though from the outside it’s a small, rather unimpressive building. It sits on a quiet street above the port. Staff are always happy to help and offer advice, and there’s a pleasant garden with a well kept pool. It’s a classy hideaway on the island, but expensive.
