The room was elegant and comfortable, with the kind of charm you’d hope for in a château. The peaceful setting in Saint-Martin-la-Pallu made it easy to switch off. Our stay at Château de Baillant began smoothly too, thanks to the manager, who was welcoming, helpful, and flexible from the time we booked. We had a memorable night and would recommend it for a refined getaway.

We felt like royalty looking out over the garden from the castle tower. The host was warm and helpful, and the rooms were especially spacious. All that at an affordable price, so it was a great experience.

We were there for a wedding, and the place worked really well for it. The restaurant room is in a separate building and holds around 100 people, with a dancing area as well. There are several rooms in the castle and in a house about 50 m away. A swimming pool, playground, and even a spa are right next to the castle. It’s a really nice setting.

We stayed in the smaller house on the grounds, which was pretty decently equipped, and the castle itself is nice. The guy who gave us the keys and showed us around was half an hour late, but made up for it with a nice bottle of wine.

A characterful little château near a small town, and excellent value for money. For lunch or dinner, I recommend Auberge Vindobriga.
