The breakfast was made fresh by our host each day, and even the jams were really good. It’s a small family-run estate, well worth visiting and tasting. The people were so friendly, and our room was roomy, quiet, and clean. I recommend it 👍
I slept really well in the very comfortable bed. The room had plenty of space and was practical, with everything a traveler might need. The private toilet and shower were spotless and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious, and I’d happily stay at Château Frédignac again.
Blaye is a quiet little village less than a 10-minute drive away, and parking there is easy. The paths are very rural, though, so walking there isn’t recommended. Back at the property, the owner was very attentive, and the simple room was spotless with a comfortable bed. It’s a calm countryside stop, far from the bustle, and a good place to rest on a long journey. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
We really enjoyed the welcome and the tasting. The 2018 vintage is worth trying, with plenty of good qualities, and it’s organic too. Make a detour to discover the estate. It also makes an excellent France Passion stopover.
There’s private parking and the service was impeccable. The cottage has two bedrooms and feels peaceful, just 2 km from Blaye. Breakfast is included, and you can taste wine at the château. Bottles are affordably priced.
