The spot is a real highlight: peaceful, with two pools for cooling off in summer, a café/snack bar and terrace, plenty of exercise equipment, and areas for sports and games. It's also close to the Ardèche caves and Chauvet Cave. The family-run team is wonderful and always happy to help.

The campsite was disappointing from the moment I arrived. I stopped at the restaurant for an ice cream, but the tables still had dirty lunch dishes on them and flies were buzzing around. After waiting half an hour, I had to ask for my order. They'd clearly forgotten me. At my pitch, the neighboring group of young people seemed to be under the influence of substances. There was no supervision at the pool, either, and no sense of security. One of them later asked politely whether I'd mind them smoking cannabis because I had a young child. I reluctantly said yes, hoping it would be brief, but smoke filled my pitch for hours. It stayed noisy until a neighbor stepped in around 1:30 a.m. The next day, the cannabis smell was still there, with dozens of empty alcohol bottles in front of their tents. The following night, a party in the middle of the campsite went on with music, shouting, and people coming and going until 4:30 a.m. I had to ask them myself to quiet down. When I went to reception on the third day to complain, nobody offered help or a different pitch. I saw the owner laughing in a golf cart with one of the young people instead. That felt like a real lack of professionalism and consideration. From talking to other campers and reading reviews, I got the impression these groups of families or friends imposing their own rules are a common problem, with management not intervening. There was no refund, not even for the tourist tax I hadn't paid. I wanted to share what happened despite the risk that this kind of review might be mocked or brushed aside by disingenuous replies. Avoid this campsite if you want peace and quiet, respect, or even a modicum of management.

The pools and activities worked well for both children and adults, and the location made it easy to explore the region. We came away feeling refreshed and with lovely memories, and we’ll definitely return. A big thank you to the whole team. We spent a wonderful week at Camping Le Sous Bois in a comfortable mobile home that was perfectly equipped. The site was quiet, clean, well maintained, and tucked into nature, with excellent facilities. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always available to help make the stay enjoyable. The cleanliness and friendly atmosphere deserve a special mention.
