Villa Fauve Maison d'hôtes

We’ve been coming to Saint Maximin for years. It’s a great place to unwind and well placed for outings, whether we’re heading into nature or looking for good food.

We were enchanted by our three nights here in July. The garden is a dream, and we made use of the pool twice each day. The four rooms are exclusive, and breakfast was excellent. Our hosts were friendly while keeping a professional distance. Parking was very difficult. Even with the Reveo app, we couldn’t get the nearby charging station to work.

The peaceful courtyard and garden, with their lovely pool, were a favorite place for us to sit. We had the pleasure of spending four wonderful nights here with friends in a beautiful, cozy place that still carries its history. The house is full of character, with a winding layout, thick walls, small windows, and a very atmospheric interior. Both the rooms and the whole house were absolutely clean, and the garden was beautifully cared for. Suzanne and Peter were friendly and very helpful. We were lucky to enjoy the excellent breakfast there every morning: quality cheeses, unusual jams, fresh fruit, several juices, and good coffee made a great start to the day. Their restaurant suggestions were excellent, and two very good places are just a few meters away in the little village. Wine and water were easy to get at reasonable prices. Their cycling tips and advice on the best parking spots in Nimes and Avignon were very helpful too. We felt so at home and can recommend this place without reservation.

Suzanne and Peter were so attentive and glad to help with restaurant suggestions and even reservations. The rooms are decorated with wonderful taste, and the house itself is a real gem. What a special place. Thank you for such a lovely time!
