Domaine de Larchey & son restaurant - Bordeaux Sud

The restaurant was very good, though the menu is limited, and the staff were helpful and easy to talk to. We stayed two nights, four adults in two rooms. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very clean. It's a lovely location, but you'll really need a car to get the most out of the area. We had a great stay, thank you.

The grounds are beautiful, and the outdoor pool was so peaceful, with a lovely jacuzzi and shower area attached. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We spent our fourth and last night in Bordeaux at Domaine De Larchey, and had an amazing time. I'd also give the 1930 restaurant a 10/10 recommendation.

The room stayed quiet at night, and the birdsong made the morning lovely. We liked the spacious, quirky room and the exceptionally comfortable bedding. There were flowers and a well-kept lawn, with horses and a donkey nearby, plus a trampoline for children and a water fountain. Charlotte gave us a warm welcome, I think that was her name, apologies if I have it wrong. Thanks for having us, Marie-Cécil. The room temperature wouldn't go below 20. Since the property promotes sustainability, refillable larger water bottles would be better than disposable ones. The closed pool was the biggest letdown, and the reason for the four stars, especially as it had been advertised on the official Instagram account on May 9, 2024. We had a very pleasant stay, and would recommend it to families, wine lovers, and nature fans who enjoy grand designs.

We had two wonderful days at Domaine De Larchey in March, 2022. The estate was fun to wander around, and the gardens were beautiful. Beds, rooms, grounds, food, and wine were all extraordinary for the low price. The restaurant's serious chef served creative meals beautifully, and the whole staff provided sophisticated customer service. The location would make a great base for exploring the famous wine region around Bordeaux.
