La Closerie de Fronsac

We nearly missed the wine selection that's available as soon as you arrive, so be sure to ask about it. The evening cheese and meat platter was both tasty and great value, and breakfast was really good too. We enjoyed the hosts' wine tasting and found them friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It's a lovely old manor farmhouse with traditional style, tucked away in a peaceful countryside setting. Definitely worth a visit.

The wine was very nice, and the tasting was fun. We also appreciated the hosts' warm, friendly welcome and their helpful suggestions for local places to eat. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would love to come back. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was very good, and we slept comfortably in a clean room in the old farm, either in the main building or the side one. The surroundings are nice for hiking, and the Wi-Fi was good. Clement was a helpful host who could take care of what you need. We enjoyed the wine guidance and tasting, and dinner can be arranged if requested.

Walking through the vineyards early in the morning was one of my favorite parts of our honeymoon. The air was humid and smelled of grape juice, then, as we came out of the vines, we caught the scent of freshly baked croissants for breakfast. Such a moment! We only had two nights at Château Fronsac, but left with wine bottles and lovely memories. The hosts were so kind, the breakfasts delicious, and their own Fronsac wine deserves a review all to itself. The cozy, beautiful château atmosphere felt like a fairytale, and the whole stay still gives me warm feelings and goosebumps. Château Fronsac is well worth visiting, and I'd highly recommend it.
