A handsome chateau.

It’s a shame, because this is a cultural site in a village that otherwise feels warm and welcoming, and the building itself is beautiful. The staff or manager, I’m not sure which, had far less enthusiasm than I’d imagine for life in a castle. At first glance, the chatelaine didn’t seem to match the description.

Alix and Vincent share their family’s history with real passion, and it’s fascinating to hear. They’re charming, welcoming owners, and the castle’s grounds are magnificent. The village is quaint, too. A lovely spot for couples or families wanting peace and nature surrounded by the history of this family-run castle.

The village is well worth a visit in its own right. We had a memorable stay in an exceptional property, with elegant hosts and a gentle pace that made the place feel outside of time.

The hillside village is a pleasant place, and the castle is really beautiful.
