Huttopia Landes Sud

Our seven-year-old daughter absolutely loved the place, which says a lot. There’s a lovely shady spot beside the river, clean bathrooms with plenty of them, and really good pizza. We also enjoyed the Huttopia activities. A very nice campsite, highly recommend it.

We spent nearly two weeks here with our two kids. The staff were so friendly, and the campsite felt like being out in nature, with plenty of space and a natural setting. In the off season it’s a great place for a relaxed family break, with beach trips and the occasional treat from the nearby bakeries.

The big pitches and all the trees gave us welcome shade, and after a hot, fun day at the beach it was nice to grab a good pizza at the restaurant. We chose this campsite because the busier places right by the sea sounded too crowded, though the drive to the beach was still about 20 minutes. We stayed five days to surf and had a nice time, but the price felt high at over €30 a night for a couple without children who didn’t use the pool or activities. The sanitary facilities were clean, though the shower temperature had a mind of its own. There were lots of children, and some got pretty loud in the evenings, so it may suit families better than people looking for more peace and quiet. We’d have liked a calmer atmosphere.

We always find the booking through to the last day easy, and when it’s time to leave we never really want to. Huttopia campsites are consistently lovely, and we know we’ll be welcomed and well looked after.
