La Recreation

Laszlo and Filip gave us a wonderful welcome, and the four-person cottage was just as pictured on Airbnb: charming, private, and impeccably maintained. We spent a week there in August and were surprised by how well equipped it was. Everything we needed to feel at home was there. The wooded grounds are gorgeous and thoughtfully decorated, and relaxing by the pool was a real pleasure. The location is another plus, right in the heart of Saint-Montan, a beautiful little town with character and several excellent bars and restaurants. You can enjoy the Ardèche without the crowds of the larger tourist towns, and the Drôme and Gard are easy to explore too. We’ll definitely be back.

We’ve stayed here before and are always happy to return. Every visit has been perfect, with comfortable guest rooms and cottages, a warm welcome, and a magnificent setting at the foot of the Château de Saint Montan.

It’s hard to put into words. The house is breathtaking, and so are the owners! They and their family were incredibly kind and helpful, and the welcome was warm. Everything was spotless. I loved the quiet village setting, and the old village school has been restored with such good taste. I wholeheartedly recommend it for a lovely weekend or short break. Bravo, and thank you so much. Please don’t change a thing!
