The hotel is in a perfect spot, and we’d happily come back to Saint-Omer and stay here again. The rooms could use an update and feel quite dark, but we had a great stay. The staff were lovely and always ready to help, which made us feel very welcome. It rained while we were there, so we spent time at the bar with beer and wine, and my good lady had a cocktail too. Food wasn’t served between 2pm and 7pm, so I popped to a nearby convenience shop for snacks and carried on enjoying the wine. We came back to the bar that evening for more good food and drinks. We usually find French people unwelcoming, but everyone here was the complete opposite. They made our short visit memorable for all the right reasons.

Right in the town centre, with bars and restaurants close by, this is a lovely place to stay. We’ve been coming for years and it always delivers. Charlie’s corner is a fantastic restaurant, with a good choice of meals and everything homemade. The staff are wonderful, especially Pauline, Alice, Manon and Marie. They greet you so warmly and are always happy to help, even when you want to mix and match your dinner. It feels like a little bit of French heaven.

A handy place to stop before an early shuttle, right in the centre of Saint-Omer with bars and restaurants all around. The Ibis is comfortable in its familiar style, and the staff are very nice. I did think the 10 euro car park charge was steep, since it’s just round the back and isn’t secure.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, a great location and an excellent breakfast, all for good value. The rooms are small, but that didn’t bother us. We ask for a road-facing room because we like hearing the French noise, though anyone wanting peace and quiet can request one facing the car park. For quiet and lots of space, I’d choose somewhere in the country.

We had a four-night stay, and the town-centre location, good food and wonderful staff made it an excellent hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, and everyone was very polite. The room was very clean and was cleaned daily with fresh towels. My only preference would have been tea and coffee facilities in the room. There’s a free drinking water fountain in reception, which was handy for refilling a bottle. Breakfast had plenty to choose from: cold meats, cheeses, cereals, breads, scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit juice, and tea and coffee. We also enjoyed the evening meals. Parking is limited, but it never filled up during our stay. We’d stay here again.
