Ibis Budget Troyes Est

The mattress was my one complaint. Even with a topper it felt thin and wasn’t very comfortable, though I still got an okay night’s sleep. The hotel itself was clean and well kept, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. I’d asked for a quiet room and a gluten-free breakfast, and both requests were taken care of. It seemed generally quiet anyway. We stayed at the IBIS Troyes East on the way back from the Alps. It was easy to find, in a good spot near several restaurants, and had a secure car park locked overnight, with a code provided. I’d use it again as a stopover. Thank you.

Handy for a stop while travelling through France, with plenty of parking and a quiet area. There are restaurants at a nearby retail park, and the hotel is close to a major toll road. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is basic too, but still welcome.

The staff were efficient, though a little distant, and check-in was quick. The room was pleasant, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Breakfast was adequate and served from 06h30. Easy to find, in a great location, and very good value.

The next morning we went down for breakfast, which was still included, but a woman was yelling at us and standing across the dining-room entrance with her arms spread to keep us out. It was really off-putting. We’d stayed for two nights. The breakfast had been very basic, so we decided to cancel it for the second day. Staff asked for a blank cheque or an EBAN number before they could refund us. We didn’t have either, so they couldn’t reimburse us.
