Gîte des Ecuries d'Hodebert

Ivana was a lovely source of advice on places to eat and visit, and made us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade food and fresh produce from the estate. We stayed four nights in chamber du Parc, a spacious, comfortable room with pretty views from windows on three sides. This beautiful chateau and family home made for a wonderful stay. We’d highly recommend Chateau d’Hodebert to anyone looking for somewhere amazing.

We’ll always remember our time here as one of the special stays in our lives. The hosts were charming and went out of their way to make us feel cared for, and breakfast started each day perfectly, with homemade bread, cheeses, jams, and lovely fruit. We spent our evenings dining on the terrace with bread, cheese, wine, fruit, and pastries we’d bought locally, and there was a lovely wine cellar to choose from, with options across a range of prices. The historic Chateau d'Hodebart is magnificent, set in wonderfully peaceful surroundings. Thank you so much.

The pool was a real pleasure and a welcome way to cool off, and the castle is well placed for reaching the best-known Loire chateaux and plenty of other sights. We’ve sadly come to the end of our stay in the little house "la Grille." The grounds are huge and impressively cared for, and they made the place feel like another world. Our fantastic hostess greeted us with sparkling wine and fresh roses from the garden. We enjoyed it enormously, thank you.

Our host was so thoughtful. When she learned my wife is vegan, she was helpful and accommodating. We had a picturesque stay, with immaculate rooms and a chateau that was wonderful throughout.
