Dinner by the fountain made for a lovely evening at this beautiful restaurant in St Paul de Vence. The tuna, gnocchi and zucchini flowers were all delicious, and the tuna was one of the best dishes we had on our six-week trip across Europe. It was so fresh, with flavors that worked really well together. The waiters were prompt and professional, and the service was impeccable.

After wandering Saint Paul’s cobbled alleys, this was a lovely spot to take a break. The umbrellas kept things cool, and we could relax with a small bite and either a Limoncello Spritz or a St. Germaine Spritz.

The restaurant is attached to the hotel, and they made me feel welcome even though I stopped in late in the afternoon just for soup. The Butternut Squash soup was the best I’ve ever had, with pickled mushroom and chopped peanuts adding just the right touch. It came with focaccia topped with raw butternut squash and pine nuts, which was so good. This place is worth the trip to St Paul De Vence.

The room on the top floor was amazing, with a view you can see right from bed, and it felt worthy of a five-star hotel. We spent two nights here in early July 2020 and got to know the owners, who are charming, helpful and passionate about making guests feel at home. That’s exactly how we felt. The food was brilliant, tasty and local. We’ll be back!
