Villa Martinus

Martin made our stay memorable with his kindness, thoughtfulness, and eye for detail. He was easy to reach whenever we needed something and had good ideas for things to do nearby. We stayed in the cockatoo room, which was spacious, quiet, clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was huge, modern, and nicely done too. Breakfast was our favorite of the whole trip: meats, cheeses, yogurt, croissants, bread, juice, fruit, and jam made by Martin’s mom, among other things. We only wish the weather had been better so we could enjoy the beautiful pool. My husband and I stayed two nights at Villa Martinus during a nine-night trip in Southern France, and this was our favorite B&B by far. I highly recommend it and wish we’d stayed longer. Thank you, Martin!

We’re still traveling around the region, but I wanted to write this now. On our first visit to Saint Paul de Vence, we loved every minute, and Villa Martinus was perfectly located. Martin was a wonderful host and waited for us with a smile even though we got in very late. The villa is beautiful, the room was great, and so were the breakfast and service. Highly recommend it. The terrace and view over the pool were lovely, and we really liked our beautiful room. Martin was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade jam, thank you to his mum, the warm baguette, and the cappuccinos. We had more than one! There are so many nice details here. The only little downside was that my room felt a bit damp, but the powerful air conditioner sorted it out. Otherwise, this was the best holiday I could have had on the Côte d'Azur. Martin is kind, friendly, helpful, and even makes great cocktails. The rooms are large, beautifully furnished, and have a small kitchenette. Breakfast is fantastic, with lots of homemade and organic food. The spacious pool was very clean, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. It’s a great base away from the busy cities but still close to everything. Do visit Saint-Paul-de-Vence and listen to Martin’s advice. I hope to return soon.
