Breakfast alone would make this place worth a visit: she bakes at least two kinds of bread each day and makes her own muesli and yogurt. Let her know ahead and she can also prepare a fantastic four-course dinner at a very reasonable price. She’s a trained cook who left restaurant life to raise her family and run her own business. On top of all that, she’s friendly, charming, and gentle. I can’t recommend her place enough. Go and enjoy.

It felt like a home away from home, and the rooms were excellent. Marketa kept us well informed, and Barbara, who looked after us at the lodge, did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable.

We had such a cosy stay at Amodo Lodge, a lovely, well-kept property in peaceful surroundings near Evian and Lake Geneva. Marketa really gives the place its spirit. She’s full of energy and such a talented cook and host. A brilliant find, and I warmly recommend it.

Breakfast was amazing, with fresh juice and coffee, homemade jams and caramel, and bread and baked goods made on site. Our room was beautiful and spacious, and the location worked perfectly for day trips in the Alps and around Lake Geneva. The hostess was exceptionally warm, always ready with suggestions or anything else we needed.

We loved being able to head out on several short trails nearby, and the location is wonderful. We’re not used to the roads, though, so driving at night took extra care. The hostess was about as friendly and pleasant as you could hope for. Our beautifully finished room was exceptionally quiet, with blackout shades that helped us sleep. And breakfast was amazing: homemade yogurt, jams, and baked goods that were almost impossible to stop eating. Definitely recommend.
