Les Terrasses

We loved the peaceful setting, just 15 minutes from Puy du Fou and 5-10 minutes from the shops in Les Herbiers. Hervé keeps the garden, greenhouse, and vegetable patch in beautiful shape, and there are lots of games for children. Both bedrooms were spotless and practical, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was incredible: homemade crepes, waffles, and brioche, fresh fruit salad, homemade yogurt, and Sylvie's famous salted caramel. Hervé and Sylvie were the kindest hosts I've ever met, doing everything they could to make us feel at home. We also met Bastien, their nephew, who volunteers as an actor with the Cinéscénie. He and the hosts shared really helpful tips for visiting Puy du Fou. It was a fantastic stay, and I recommend it 1000%! We won't return to the area without booking here again.

Waking up to Sylvie and Hervé's breakfast spread was a treat: Vendée brioche, homemade cake, semolina pudding, raspberries from the garden, cheese from a local farm, homemade compote, and little edible flower petals. It was as lovely to look at as it was delicious. Les Terrasses feels like much more than a gîte, with the chance to meet Sylvie and Hervé, whose warmth and kindness are clear from the moment you arrive. People say perfection doesn't exist. This place makes that hard to believe.

The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable, and breakfast was delicious, made with products from their own garden. Sylvie and Hervé gave us such a warm welcome and the service was great. Their gîte is only 15 minutes from Puy du Fou, and we'd recommend it without hesitation.

The accommodation is spacious, clean, and decorated with real taste. Breakfasts were excellent and varied, with homemade products. We also enjoyed the evening meals and homemade picnics. Sylvie and Hervé were such kind, generous, passionate, and engaging hosts. What a lovely encounter, and a huge thank you to them both!
