The owner was very welcoming, showed us to our room, and explained what we needed to know. Everything was clean and working, and the hotel is well looked after, though the decor and furnishings are several decades old. Whether that feels charming or old-fashioned probably comes down to taste. The room and air conditioning could use an update, and the bed was comfortable but a bit firm. Breakfast was good value, and we enjoyed the terrace, pool, games, and ping-pong table. We had a pleasant two nights and two days here.

The children especially loved the pool and the toys they could use. I stayed five days with my five-year-old daughter and six-year-old godson, and Michel, the manager, made us feel very welcome. It’s a family-run place with helpful service and affordable prices, just a few kilometres from Dax. The hotel is dated, but that’s part of its charm. Thanks again for the kindness and warm welcome. All the best.

The pool was pleasant, and the owners were friendly, though they seemed completely overwhelmed. The rooms are still in their original vintage state, and cleanliness needs work. Breakfast was simple and adequate, but the room it was served in was in poor condition. It left us wondering how the stars are awarded, and how they’re checked. See photos.

It felt homely from the moment we arrived, thanks to the friendly welcome. Our room was clean, though the balcony could use an update. The pool was lovely, with plenty of loungers around it, and breakfast served poolside was generous and really good.

The decor and bedding both feel dated, and the bed clearly has seen a lot of use. They don’t provide towels for the pool, even when you ask, which I don’t think is right. I won’t even get into the reception.
