We hadn’t expected to eat here since it wasn’t listed as a place to dine, but we arrived to find it open and were glad we did. The set menu and a bottle of wine came to a very reasonable price. Service was excellent, and the food was just as good. It felt like a proper country hotel restaurant. Water was free, and they brought extra bread when we finished it. We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t comment on that.

We had a fantastic meal for a very reasonable price, with friendly service. They speak English, but kindly let me practice my French. It’s in a pretty town with a lovely castle. Outstanding.

The owner gave us a very warm welcome, and getting here from the motorway was easy. We really enjoyed the evening meal and would certainly stay again.

We were only passing through the region, so we stayed for one night. It’s a cute, romantic little B&B style place, though there was no breakfast. The restaurant downstairs shuts at 9:00pm, and it felt like the whole small town closed then. There wasn’t much to do, and the castle is in ruins, so there wasn’t a lot to see. Only one person in town spoke English, so we waited for her to arrive and check us in.

The man at reception had a warm heart and spoke good English. Late at night, when his hotel was already full, he helped us find another place to stay. We’ll book in time next visit so we can stay at this cosy hotel.
