Laure at reception made such a difference, with a smile and a bit of humor instead of a cold, impersonal welcome. Don’t change a thing! The room was spacious, clean, and functional, and the setting was quiet. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend it, and a big thank you!

The room was bright, and the setting was very quiet. It’s easy to get to, and we’ll definitely return. Everyone on the staff was warm and pleasant, and they were very helpful. Breakfast was generous, with fresh fruit and perfect pastries.

I’m furious. We left the room around 10:30 or 11:00, and they called to say we’d left some things behind, including a cuddly toy. They asked what they should do with it. I was at work when I got the message, so I called back at the end of the day, only to be told they’d thrown everything away. I can’t believe it. I thought they’d call back and say they’d put it aside, but they didn’t. Who throws away a child’s cuddly toy? There were probably other things too, but I won’t know until I get home. I hope they treat the belongings of the elderly residents in this building better. The child whose toy you threw away is going through a difficult time, something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

At check-in, the story changed completely. We were told it was impossible to cancel the payment so we could use our holiday vouchers, despite the written correspondence and all the calls. They offered no compensation or solution, even though the mistake clearly came from the information their staff had given us. I’d picked this place specifically so I could pay with holiday vouchers, and left very disappointed by how unreliable that information was. This is a senior living residence, and the staff don’t seem adequately trained to provide the reliable hotel service travelers expect. Before booking, we’d asked whether they accepted holiday vouchers and were told yes, but that we had to book online, so that’s what we did. Soon after, we noticed a bank charge and called. We were assured it was just a hold that would be canceled on arrival so we could pay with vouchers. The day before our stay, we called again and made clear that ours were electronic vouchers. Once again, they said everything was fine.
