Breakfast was a highlight, with tasty warm and cold options. Our beachfront room was spacious and very nice, though we could hear both the waves and the bathrooms in neighboring rooms, so the soundproofing could be better. The pool looks out over the water where kite-surfers are out, which gives you an idea of how windy it gets. The sun only reaches the pool area late in the afternoon, so it may feel chilly if you get cold easily. We stayed two nights.

Right in central St Pierre, this small, cozy hotel has a lovely sea outlook. The staff were really friendly, and the rooms felt roomy and comfortable. We also enjoyed the cocktails at the bar and the restaurant’s selection of local dishes.

We had a good breakfast and enjoyed a relaxed evening meal at the restaurant, with good service. The staff were helpful and very friendly, and there’s a nice pool with access to the beach. Our room was modern and large, with a big comfortable bed. I’d stay here again on another trip to the island.

We really enjoyed our first trip to Reunion, and Le Battant was a great place to stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, and room 224 had a lovely sea view. The hotel is clearly well run, with an innovative lady chef whose food was excellent. A special thank you to Yannick, Jeremie and Airelia, apologies if I’ve got the spelling wrong, we speak Afrikaans. We hope to return to this beautiful island and Le Battant. It’s right on the beach, with no road in between. The hotel was solid and everything was fine, though nothing really stood out. The price was fair, and I’d stay again.
