B&B HOTEL Lyon Saint-Priest

The room and breakfast were okay, but I wouldn’t recommend the stay. You have to reconnect to the Wi-Fi every time you return to your room, and entering all the required details takes ages. The lift’s code box in the parking garage didn’t work. Parking is far underground, reached by going through several dark sections of another hotel’s parking area.

It wasn’t great, though the security guard was very helpful. There was also an EV fast charger on the property.

The rest of the stay was okay for the price, nothing special, and our first impression of the hotel was good. But breakfast became a problem the next morning. At check-in, the receptionist was welcoming and said we could decide in the morning whether to have breakfast. When we went down, a different receptionist, who didn’t speak English, told us we had to order ahead. She didn’t seem willing to help sort it out, and I found it ridiculous that the receptionist at a hotel couldn’t speak another language. We were starving, and there was nowhere close to get food, which made the morning and our stay really unpleasant. Handling it that way felt very unprofessional.

The rooms were very good and reasonably clean, with pin-code locks that made getting in easy. There’s plenty of free parking inside a compound enclosed by fences and bushes, and security is on site. The area looks industrial, but it’s quiet and spacious. A halal food truck on site stays open until 3 am. There was a slight electrical buzzing from our room that worried me a bit. Breakfast options weren’t great, though that may have been because of Covid 19.
