The little terrace is so well placed that you can have lunch or dinner out there and enjoy that famous Breton tan. And you can walk everywhere in Le Portrieux: the beach, Monday market, local shops, bars, restaurants, and a fantastic bookstore. There’s a small playground just steps away for the kids, and the ice cream shop is almost opposite. It’s a cozy, quirky, typical little house, the kind they don’t make anymore. Le Portrieux feels like a real village.

We’d happily stay at La Petite Maison du Portrieux again. The hostess was friendly, and the calm atmosphere made it especially enjoyable. The interior is lovingly put together, and the house has plenty to offer, including a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living area, a terrace, and a barbecue for relaxed evenings. It’s quiet but still central, just steps from the beach promenade, harbor, weekly market, small supermarket, and cafes. Our one small reservation was the bedroom bed: it was okay, though narrower than we expected and not quite as comfortable. A wider bed or mattress would help some guests sleep more soundly. Even so, the good points far outweigh that drawback.

Everything has been thought through to make for a pleasant stay. The house is bright and clean, and its central but quiet location is very nice.

A roomy cottage with a fun layout and its own sunny, private courtyard. It’s just 50 m from the boulevard, harbor, supermarket, and restaurants.
